Now in business for more than a half-century, Sunglass Hut’s humble beginning in 1971 was as a kiosk in a Miami mall. Today it is the ultimate sunglasses destination with more than 3,000 retail locations worldwide selling a variety of designer brands.
For travelers moving through Philadelphia International Airport’s Terminal F, it’s a convenient stop for casual browsers and those in need of new eyewear for their upcoming trip.
The store's complex lighting required extensive planning and coordination. Sufficient power needed to be routed around the store, and access panels had to be installed to facilitate maintenance access. The store’s open design plan and thoughtful placement of lighting and reflective surfaces makes the space look larger than it actually is.
