Furla is a luxury brand that was founded in Italy and is best-known for its designer handbags. The store opened in Philadelphia International Airport’s Concourse A-West near Gate 17 where departing and arriving visitors now have access to the company’s posh lifestyle merchandise.

RKA captured the elegant design of the products through the stylish millwork and the sleek tile floors. We faced and surmounted a challenge during installation of the light fixtures. Each needed to be spackled into the ceiling, and our solution was to construct a light cove that encircled the perimeter of the space.

An unusual circumstance of the project was that the company’s millwork documents were written in Italian. RKA overcame the language barrier and delivered a sophisticated retail space to a satisfied client.
