Alimentari—literally “food” in Italian—is located on the second floor of DiBruno’s Rittenhouse store at 1730 Chestnut Street. The casual restaurant offers Roman pizza, focacceria sandwiches, small bites, beer, wine, and more. 

The venue blends classic Italian style with modern notes. A custom black-and-white mosaic tile floor compliments the original wood flooring, which we sanded and refinished. In the kitchen, shelving units were crafted from reclaimed, charred lumber to match the bookcase accent wall, and black iron mounts were added for hanging meats and other items. Custom cut antique mirror trim visually expands the dining area. Early challenges included completing electrical wiring without damaging the original plaster ceiling. Through meticulous planning and care, RKA overcame this hurdle and preserved the integrity of the ceiling.
