WHAT WE DID 

Park Towne Place welcomes its first restaurant: The Hadley. This eclectic take on classic American-style fare is full of bright colors and striking geometric patterns. Just before the entrance is a spacious deck area, custom-built by RKA for outdoor seating during the warmer months. As you walk into the restaurant you are greeted by a stunning bar area with a rectangular light fixture overhead. Behind the bar, the wall is decorated by various pieces of stained-glass, lights, mirrors, and bottle storage, arranged in collage of different rectangles. To the right of the bar is a sitting area with a fireplace, giving the entrance a modern yet homey feel. The floors throughout are variations of black and white porcelain tile which provides quite the contrast to the vibrant furniture and décor. Much of the walls and ceiling throughout the space are covered in curved walnut paneling, installed by RKA. The dining room is separated into two sections by a partial wall of textured, stained glass. As you progress further into the dining room, there is more seating, including plush banquettes with wood, mirror, and smooth stained-glass panels above them, congruent with the rest of the geometric theme.

UNIQUE TO THIS PROJECT

RKA faced some challenges with this project, including the fact that the building was fully operational for tenants throughout the duration. RKA also had so difficulties with the structural components of the building as the ceiling clearance in some areas was very low and the depth of the floor had to be increase to compensate for this. Overall RKA was able to overcome all of these obstacles and created a stunning space.
